Make a gift to yourself and nature

During the last years I have brought many environmentally friendly and body friendly products into my life. One of the first things was a menstrual cup. Menstrual cup is a silicon ''cup'', that collects the period blood and can be worn for maximum 12 hours. Popular companies are The Diva Cup, Lunette, MoonCup ja OrganiCup.

I use OrganiCupi have been using it for the last 2 years. They have OrganiCup Teens for of course teenagers and OrganiCup A(for women who have not given birth) and B(for women who have given birth). OrganiCup costs just 24 euros. If you take into consideration that you use it for 10 years, then in a year you spend only 2,4 euros and in a month only 2o cents. It is great for the wallet. For example a pack of Tampax tampons costs atleast 3 euros. If you buy a pack every month you spend atleast 36 euros a year and 360 euros with 10 years. By choosing a menstrual cup you a doing good for your wallet and yourself. In addition you are sending less trash to the landfill. It is suggested that you use a menstrual cup fro maximum 10 years and then buy a new one. With that time the average women uses 2640 pads and/or tampons and throughout your life you can prevent 125 to 150 kg of trash for going to the landfill. If you want extra protection or wnt to go through your period differently then also there are period pants. I own ones by Wuka that are suggested to wear upto 8 hours. Other well-known companies are Thinx and Modibodi. Period pants are sold in many styles and sizes, also with different absorption level. There is something for every taste and size. They cost about 20 euros but are an investment, so in my opinion worth it. There are also reusable pads and panty liners, but because I don't have any experience with that I can't really express my opinion. Reusable pads can be bought or you can make them yourself also.
