I have 3 good news.

Firstly I am going to Estonia for 2 weeks. I will go on the 6th and be back by the 20th. I can finally meet the babies who have been born whilst I have been stuck here. I so look forward to seeing them. I can finally speak Estonian all around me and be with my people. I don´t need to worry if the person who I am talking to has other places to run to because the 3 hour time difference makes it hard to find suitable times for us all. It is so lovely just being with people.

When I found out I can go to Estonia and that my boss is allowing me to go and there are good flights, I started crying in the same Mosó library that made me get lost in Mosfellsbær. I am so happy and excited. But I have more good news,

I was accepted to the University of Iceland. I will finally become a teacher. In September my programme will start, but before that I will also take some summer courses in the university. I am kind of a nerd and very happy that I can study already now. I don´t know if it is visible from my writing style but I am veeeeery excited.

Two years ago I doubted if I wanted to go to university, but maybe I was just not looking at the right schools. It seems like the world wanted me to go to University of Iceland and I couldn't be happier. I can finally study what I am really interested about. I have so far onky picked my major and after the first year I need to pick my minor. I would like it to be Gender Studies. In the future I would love to be a Sex ed teacher. My instagram might already have given you a hint of that. I don´t know if that is even possible and also that would be in Icelandic. So I need to step up my Icelandic as well.

Thirdly I am moving to a new place. Hopefully. My friend Kenzie found a lovely 2 bedroom apartment for her and her husband. But she also offered me the second room if I wanted it. So right now we are in the process of talking with the landlord to see if he would also be okay with this arrangement. My work and school would be much closer to that place as well. If I move then it will be just me for now. Björgvin would stay where he is now and be able to collect some more money and help his family. Also his work place is much closer to our home now. The plan of course would be for him to join me kin the future. But until then we would just date like normal people do. We never had that experience in the past. No date night or movie nights. Now we could try all of that.

Also I could make that room my dream. Fill it with second hand or crafted items. I could ask Björgvin's sister to make a painting for me. I would love to get back to being zero waste and reduce the amount of meat I eat when I move there...if I move there. Fingers crossed it all works out.

And I am still in the process of translating. I have been so busy lately. I am trying my best with the previous posts and future posts will always be available in both languages.
